Allowing you to hear the music the way the maker intend it. We paid great attention to the parts used in the Model 1 Integrated Amp's signal path allowing us to present you with a true sound experience.
When it comes to housing our technologies, each decision is made from acute observation of your listening desires and habits. The Model 1 Amp went through years of iteration. Our goal was to design a simple integrated amp for urban spaces with an incredible build quality and a sound quality that beguiles its size. Keeping the user in mind through each step in the process allowed the Model 1 to emerge as the compact, innovative and intuitive Hi-Fi amp that it is.
To ensure the Model 1 would be at home in any urban space, great attention was paid to its size. This 16.5 cm wide, 11.5 cm tall and 18 cm deep amp utilizes precision surface mount components that have been optimized for performance and size in professional applications paired with a compact ultra low noise state of the art amplifier technology. Relying on intuitive and minimal design the Model 1 Amp respects the diversity and constant change of your music collections and the modern listeners lifestyle.
Low level signals provided by source components are handled by precision professional grade Burr-Brown operational amplifiers and low distortion solid-state switches. Oversize power regulators were employed to increase signal headroom and lower thermal impact on the circuit to ensure reliability.
The amplifier stage merges an ultra low noise, high efficiency power supply with a state of the art amplification circuit that enables the Model 1 Integrated amplifier to project an incredible amount of pure musical power.
A machined aluminum enclosure provides a shield from stray RF signals that can add noise to delicate low-level analog signals in the pre-amplification stage. Internally the pre-amplification stage and high power amplifier stage are separated by an aluminum sub chassis to minimize potential interference to precision components carrying low-level signals.
Where the signals arrive and depart are of great importance. We use gold plated connectors to ensure stable and reliable connections.

We have maintained our true sound approach with our Model 1 speakers, engaging in a rigorous and comprehensive design effort to produce an impressive compact 3-way speaker system capable of precision broadband performance. The design and refinement process for the Model 1 speaker system yielded innovations in both industrial design and acoustic performance.
Musical Instruments are designed and optimized to play within various frequency ranges, the build quality and design of the instrument dictates how well it can do it's job. The same is true of speaker drivers. The Model 1 Speaker System uses three different sizes of speaker within every cabinet each ideally suited to reproduce a specific range of frequencies. A professional grade frequency-dividing network governs the task of affirming that each speaker is playing to its strengths. In concert these considerations produce a compact speaker system that accurately projects a massive sound that belies it's size
The Model 1 Speaker System applies four speaker drive units per cabinet. This configuration allows the Model 1's to provide incredible dynamic contrast and accurately render transient information over an extremely broad frequency spectrum. In real world application this means the Model 1 will communicate a walk-in soundstage by demonstrating the precise relationships between various instruments and performers within the recording.

stereOS was designed to inspire a new segment in the consumer audio market; Smart Sound Systems. It represents a refreshing shift in how to approach consumer audio design that aims to make a high fidelity listening experiences possible in all the spaces you spend time in, and your music accessible through all the devices you use on a daily basis.
For meaningful progress to be made in any field a community must be active and engaged behind a common goal. This is why we chose to open source stereOS, and why we're allowing other consumer audio manufacturers to implement the platform. It's our hope that our insatiable curiosity in the context of next generation audio systems is infectious. Our view is stereOS could be the event horizon for a great many innovations in consumer audio.
The sum'd product was created as a not for profit initiative by Mass Fidelity to engage the developer community and advance the market segment stereOS was created to inspire: Smart Sound Systems.
